Honolulu (May 19, 2022)
Hawaii’s premier staffing company is now recognized nationally as a Women’s Business Enterprise. Aloha Hospitality Professionals (AlohaHP) recently received certification as a National Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), successfully meeting its standards as a woman-owned, -operated, and -controlled business.
“We are so grateful to receive this national recognition as a women’s business enterprise,” said Kat Lin-Hurtubise, founder and CEO of AlohaHP. “We recognize that nationally, there is a significant disparity between women-owned businesses and others in both revenue and capital. Given our roots as a woman-owned and woman-operated business, AlohaHP is actively working to champion women in the workplace, and we’re proud to receive certification from WBENC, which is working to bridge the gap in revenue and capital.”
WBENC is widely regarded as the gold standard for women-owned businesses in the US. To receive WBENC certification, a business must be at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. Certification requires a thorough vetting process that includes an on-site visit as well as significant review of business documentations.
Through certification, AlohaHP and other women-owned businesses receive access to a wide network of support, exclusive business opportunities, education and development programs, networking, and mentorship opportunities, and much more.
Established in 2015, AlohaHP is Hawaii’s premier staffing company offering temporary, part-time, full-time, and direct hire personnel for companies across the state. Its woman-owned team is committed to bringing a servant’s heart to every work experience, ensuring excellence for every client, every time.
